RESIN Ribbon for Industrial Printers

Larger thermal transfer label printers utilise different size ribbons to the small desktop printers.

Popular printers such as Zebra, Intermec, Datamax, Avery and Meto use these ribbons. These ribbons are typically 300M, 450M or 600M in length depending on the printer.  All thermal transfer ribbons are single use. To roughly work out how many of these you need take the length (300Metres) and divide the label height into this length. For example with a label 30mm in height (including the gap) then 300 /.030 = 10000. So this ribbon would print about 10000 labels. 

One of important rule is to make the ribbon at least as wide as your label material (including backing). This rule will mean the printhead will last longer as the ribbon will protect the printhead. From a general maintenance perspective it is a good idea to regularly clean your printhead with a soft cloth and something like metholated spirits. A lot of our customers do this as part of thier routine when installing a new ribbon in the printer.

For best print quality get the ribbon which best suits your label material.
